LeesHealingMA.com
March 24th, 2010 Filed under: News by AndrewJust recently finished up a website for Lee’s Healing Martial Arts School. I got to really dabble with jQuery for this project, and I’m most proud of the image gallery carousel that I built. The margin spacing between images readjusts on browser resize, which perfectly complements the liquid layout. Most of all, I’ve learned how to utilize all of the browser’s window space. With monitor widths getting wider and wider, creating narrow width layouts is becoming quite an ineffective use of space. Liquid layouts are the way to go, in my opinion. I’m still polishing it off and I’m debating whether or not to add an Ajax enabled contact form. We’ll see if I have free time for such.
jQuery Application
February 10th, 2009 Filed under: News by AndrewMy recent dabbling with jQuery quickly lead me to a necessary application of my new learned skill. HomeOfficeSolutions.com utilized an outdated version of an “Amazon” style expanding menu that wasn’t getting along with IE8. With jQuery’s amazing ability to create animation effects on block level elements, I coded a new and much improved menu with better transitions and styling. View the live sample of the expanding menu on the HOS homepage.
